NVIDIA’s Flagship Maxwell GM200 GPU Core, Reference point Board Features 12 GB VRAM, Superb Die

NVIDIA, Maxwell, Flagship, GM200 GPU Core, NVIDIA New GM200 GPU Core, GK104, GM2xx, GK110, GM204

NVIDIA’s future flagship Maxwell based "GM200 GPU" core have been revealed by Video-cards exposing that the chip has is completely finalized and it will soon entering mass production to get incorporated in many Quadro and GeForce GPUs.

The leak in connection with GM200 GPU's core comes just a couple of days after it absolutely  reported that NVIDIA maybe have a Quadro M6000 card with the 12 GB VRAM although now it is confirmed.

The leak on the site was tipped by a company worker who was working at the actual manufacturing labs the place that the GM200 GPUs are produced in mass quantity to fulfill demand of users in the very next month. While there are no specifications or shots of the full board, these types of single leak verifies that NVIDIA’s GM200 GPU is usually ready and constant full production on NVIDIA Manufactures.

Where Some of the specifications reveal that this flagship Maxwell core are going to be using the PG600 board that has a code-name of 180-1G600-1102-A04. However It's hopefully going to make way in to professional Quadro cards first, there is no mystery about this chip may also be integrated in fresh and upcoming GeForce graphics cards like exclusive GeForce GTX Titan successor.

On the other hand, one thing we can't confirm right now is which market should it belong to so it may be either a GeForce or a Quadro variant. All of the other board shows 12 Hynix H5GQ4H24MFR memory chips that are the same ones utilized on GeForce GTX 980 & GeForce GTX 970, clocked in 7 GHz.

We guys are most likely considering a 384-bit bus if earlier leaks are involved. The Hynix storage chip are amazing with regards to OC and stability offering copious amounts of bandwidth & performance to users. The reference board coming with the two SLI gold-fingers in addition to display outputs consist of three Display ports & a single HDMI 2. 0 port.

However It appears the board sample doesn't allow the DVI port right now but we are able to see the connectors to the port are in place and we'll be looking with a similar display settings as other NVIDIA Maxwell GPUs.

Some of the most surprising thing in GM200 GPU, It is massive when it comes to die size. While Kepler GK110 experienced a die about 561mm-2, the very new GM200 is just around 600mm2.

NVIDIA, Maxwell, Flagship, GM200 GPU Core, NVIDIA New GM200 GPU Core, GK104, GM2xx, GK110, GM204

The die is complete encircled with a metallic plate heat-spreader and looks exactly like the GK110. The chip is code-named as TAA156. 000 (1440A1) or even the GM200-400-A1. It is  still difficult to say if this will be the flagship GM200 SKU. A find of the earlier leaked specifications shows that the GM200 GPU attributes 3072 Core CUDA, up from 2048 around the current GM204 processor. Where the Maxwell SMM provides 128 streaming processors, there’s a complete of 24 SMM units enabled at the GM200 chip which will probably be fused on the Quadro M6000 GPU.

In spite of that, we are looking at 96 Raster operation units and 192-256 TMU. The card includes a pixel fill-rate involving 94.8 GPixels/s and also a texture fill-rate involving 252.9 GTexels/s. The GPU’s clock speeds are actually maintained at 988 MHz & does not feature GPU Boost, This can be preparatory clock speeds and might be changed in the future when the cards is officially released.

On the other side, we are experiencing at no less compared to 12 GB GDDR5 VRAM Memory because it replaces the K6000 which actually featured exactly the same buffer size. The card features a 384-bit memory user interface and memory clock is maintaned from 6. 6 GHz that pumps out 317. 4 GB/s.

NVidia GTX 780 Ti compared to NVidia GTX 970 vs AMD Radeon R9 290X GPU benchmarks and comparing review

NVidia GTX 970 vs NVidia GTX 780 Ti, AMD Radeon R9 290X, High Performance Low Power, Maxwell vs Kepler, AMD Radeon R9 290X, Benchmark Tests Infographic, Benchmark Tests,

Nvidia has made an amazing splash recently using its double-launch of the (Maxwell)  GTX 980 and GTX 970   (GPU) Graphic Cards. While the 980's price turn off all but by for the most dedicated of High Graphic game lovers, the GTX 970 commands at cost around the £300, making it some sort of easy to purchase if you really love their graphics.

However, it's some pretty cool competition, and the AMD's Radeon R9 290X and GTX 780 Ti both come with very similar prices. (See all GPU's and components reviews. )

Radeon R9 290X, coming as it does from nVidia's very hot rival, AMD, is unsurprising being a rival. However, the presence in the GTX 780 Ti is quite more unexpected, since this is the product from nVidia's past generation, Kepler, and it is effectively the GPU, and the GTX 970 might be looking to exchange.

Supplies of GTX 780 Ti cards are actually starting to sell out, and we think this GPU will not available in a couple of months time. But while it is, it's worth comparing it while using newer technology to check whether, on this occasion, old is indeed better. See also Group test: what's the most beneficial graphics card?

The Shock of the New - The GTX 970 Takes On the 780 Ti

NVidia GTX 970 vs NVidia GTX 780 Ti, AMD Radeon R9 290X, High Performance Low Power, Maxwell vs Kepler, AMD Radeon R9 290X, Benchmark Tests Infographic, Benchmark Tests,

Possibly the first surprising time of these two cards is that they are both manufactured using the same 0. 28nm processor. Traditionally, a smaller manufacturing process have been used for every single new generation of chips.

That allows the GPUs to get smaller and easy to fit on your PC, Otherwise It's hard to set new generation cards to our PC thanks for the chips that use to control the size of the Graphic Cards,  and implies they generate much less heat, and it can be easily run at higher speeds for 4k games as well.

Alternatively, there's more room exists for be filled along with extra goodies. Even so, we'll have to wait a bit more time before nVidia can improve on 0.28nm, so the company has needed to look elsewhere to its new edge.

NVidia GTX 970 vs NVidia GTX 780 Ti, AMD Radeon R9 290X, High Performance Low Power, Maxwell vs Kepler, AMD Radeon R9 290X, Benchmark Tests Infographic, Benchmark Tests,
So, just how does the GTX 970's Maxwell maker compare to that particular of the Kepler-equipped 780 Ti? Properly, the older Kepler GPUs came with a carefully intended system that revolved round the SMX "Streaming Multiprocessor new generation" unit.

Maxwell, even though, will be built up from SMMs "Streaming Multiprocessor Maxwell". These are actually considerably smaller, to ensure the newer architecture is a lot more efficient at  controlling facts. There's more command over individual area, and bottlenecks has to be reduced for better gaming.

There's also much less sharing between different factors of the structures, and the high-performance L1 and also L2 memory caches are also enhanced. The L2 cache, especially, has gone upward from 512KB for you to 2MB, respectively.

How does the R9 290X enter this? Obviously, this product is likely to be still around in addition to competing with the NVidia GTX 780 Ti disappears from shelves.

Well, on paper, it comes in somewhere amongst the 970 along with the NVidia GTX 780 Ti. The standard 290X provides 2816 shader cores - only a smidge prior to the 780 Ti's 2880, and also a huge distance free from the 970's 1664 shader cores. The 290X boasts rather more texture units than the 970's, 176, contrary to the 104 of Maxwell GPU.

The 970 holds a lead with regard to core clock data transfer rates - 1178MHz as opposed to the 290X's 1GHz - but it is the 290X that wins from overall texture complete rates, touting a figure of 176GT/sec within the 970's 122. 5GT/sec.

NVidia GTX 970 vs NVidia GTX 780 Ti and AMD Radeon R9 290X: High Performance Low Power

Maxwell's awesome charm is available in its low power usage consumption. This week, it is about reducing energy, and the 970 pumps out an astonishingly low amount of wattage given the capabilities.

The GPUs feature a TDP (Thermal Style Power) figure, that estimates the amount of power your system should handle when using one of them products.

The GTX 970's TDP regarding 145 watts compares very favourably using the 170 watts quoted for most older and significantly slower GTX 760. The 780 Ti hits a fairly steep 250 watts in contrast, while the R9 290X gets nearly 300 watts, respectively.

In reality, the difference isn't quite as large, although we did frequently go to a gap of fifth theres 89 watts under load between the R9 290X as well as the 970. The latter was also rather below the 780 Ti, this time seeing a big difference of 74 t. This is outstanding given the technological innovation, and is evidence that Maxwell really does extract performance at a fraction of the power. See also Best graphics card regarding 2014.

NVidia GTX 970 vs NVidia GTX 780 Ti and AMD Radeon R9 290X: Benchmark Tests

For the most informative decision here comes down to price and availability. There's actually very little wrong with the 780 Ti.

Kepler is probably the older technology, but cards with all the 780 Ti are usually immensely powerful. During the time of the 970's launch in October, the 780 Ti has been still rather high priced.

But prices came down, and whenever you can get a minute card for between £300 and £340, the Ti is a still the superb card.

Last month Nvidia launched GeForce GTX 970 that got positioned as the ideal candidate for "multi GPU" 4K games rigs, offers 16% more performance than the Radeon R9 290 on high resolutions although costing 20% much less than AMD.

After this kind of strong launch, AMD got forced to lower prices on the GPUs. The Radeon R9 290 dropped from 399 bucks to 299 bucks "10% cheaper than the GTX 970", the R9 290X dropped from $549 to $399 and also the R9 285 is around for as cheap as $229.

People looking for the game at 4K now take over some pretty capable multi-GPU options for as low as $600. Considering not even the GTX 980 can easily handle 4K gaming now, in the most demanding designation, obviously that is a great news.

For a minor premium more than the GTX 980, the GTX 970 or R9 290 might be doubled up around $600 or $660, Or it should outperform the lone GTX 980, however we bet the GTX 970 will probably outdo the R9 290 throughout 4K gaming as well as in power consumption.

Test System Specifications

So basically, we tested ever single card with Fraps to be able to record its average frame rate in seconds over the set amount of time. We typically tests for 1 minute. Reporting the average fps is how things are actually doing properly, forever. It's a fantastic metric sense that it's not hard to record and simple to implement but it does not expose the main story.

To obtain a fuller picture you'll have to factor in the card's frame latency, which looks at how quickly just about every frame is delivering the performance. Regardless of the amount of frames to design card produces usually in 60 seconds, if it can not deliver them at roughly exactly the same speed, you will observe more short points with just one GPU over another, something we have now witnessed but didn't understand completely.

Nexus 7 vs NVIDIA SHIELD

As you guys know, "NVIDIA" recently released its brand-new SHIELD tablet in two versions: the LTE and the Wi-Fi only. The company manufactured this tablet as a full on gaming tablet and they promise that this gaming experience is one over the top, which resembles PC experience. Today we chose to compare this tablet with Google’s unique tablet, the Nexus (7) 2013. Keep reading to know about what differences are involving these tablets and which one would be the best for you.

Display, Exterior and Size

NVIDIA SHIELD product is equipped wih a great IPS LCD screen that measures 8 inches which can render some sort of screen resolution involving 1920 x 1200 pixels. And for the design, NVIDIA gives its tablet a top grain polycarbonate exterior case that features a matte finish. As for the sides, we can see furrowed edges which provide the handset a very interesting look. This tablet is 9.2 mm thick also it weighs 390 grms.
As Google Nexus 7 comes with an IPS LCD display too, but this one measures only 7 inches screen. Even though it offers a smaller display-screen, the screen resolution still sits on 1920x1200 pixels – identical to the SHIELD tablet. Regarding design, we can identify that Google made guaranteed its tablet got a black remove of glass for the sides and a new rubberized exterior case. This device is as well thinner (thickness: 8. 65 mm) and lighter (weight: 299 grams) than "NVIDIA SHIELD."

Hardware, Software and Memory

As we know SHIELD tablet is a gaming tablet, So we ain't that surprised which the device comes with better an improved performing processor: Cortex A15r3 which is a quad core functioning at 2. 2 GHz paired way up with Tegra K1 chipset in KEpler 1 SMX GPU. The tab can supports 2 GB of RAM and it also comes with 2 options regarding interior storage capacity: 16 GB & 32 GB (if you guys want to use a microSD cards, you can develop your memory by nearly 128 GB With Good Support). New NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet Review Full Details

NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet New
